Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) – The REC is the representative body for the UK’s £27 billion private recruitment and staffing industry with a membership of more than 8,000 corporate members. All members must abide by an REC Code of Professional Practice. A copy of which is available in our downloads section.
The General Medical Council – The General Medical Council (GMC) registers doctors to practise medicine in the UK. Our purpose is to protect, promote and maintain the health and safety of the public by ensuring proper standards in the practice of medicine. It is also possible search to confirm a Doctors GMC registration.
Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) – The Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) was founded in 1978 as ACRPI (The Association of Clinical Research for the Pharmaceutical Industry). In 2000 it changed its status to become The Institute of Clinical Research and is well established as the largest professional clinical research body in Europe and India. The ICR provide valuable training resources and networking opportunities.
Pharmaceutical and Pharmacovigilance Association (PIPA) - The Pharmaceutical Information and Pharmacovigilance Association (PIPA) exists to support and assist its members in the development of their professional skills and responsibilities. PIPA is the professional organisation for individuals who are involved in the provision and management of information and those involved in the fulfilment of regulatory requirements relating to drug safety.
ERBI - ERBI is a networking organisation for Cambridge and the East of England, their original goal was to provide a platform for biotechnology and related companies to meet and interact through attending regular meetings. Now ERBI host numerous networking events and provide training as well as publishing newsletters and surveys amongst other supportive activities for Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical companies in the East of England and Cambridge.
The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (TOPRA) - TOPRA is the global organisation for Regulatory Affairs professionals and for those who have an interest in Regulatory Affairs in the healthcare sector. TOPRA is an invaluable resource of Training and Development as well as a great source of news and industry resources for the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices and Biotechnology industry.
